Sensors
Sensors detect vaping, smoke, aggression, calls for help, tampering and air quality. They cover bathrooms, locker rooms and classrooms, where a camera is not acceptable, without capturing images. Sensor events arrive in the same alert inbox as the cameras, with a linked corridor camera for context.

Detection without images
Vaping, smoke, aggression, gunshot, help keywords, panic and tamper, among dozens of event types.
Air quality
Carbon dioxide, particulates, volatile compounds, temperature, humidity, light and noise, with thresholds drawn on the trend.
Headcount without a camera
A thermal counter gives occupancy for rooms where a camera is not acceptable.

Sensor enrollment
A sensor is added like a camera: a name, a location, a site and a linked camera that covers the way in and out of the room. Enrollment ends with the credentials the installer needs, and an event from the sensor preserves footage from the cameras in that area.
Sensor events
Each sensor event has a start, an end and a duration, with ongoing events marked as in progress. An offline sensor raises a single critical alert, which clears on recovery.
- A live dashboard with a trend per metric and the share of each threshold in use
- Events delivered by the device itself, with a fallback path for difficult networks
- Severity set per event type

Thresholds managed from the console
The platform reads the sensor's own event configuration, lets an administrator change values and enablement, writes the changes back to the device and flags a threshold the device cannot reach. One screen covers the sensors in the estate.
The other capabilities
See it on your own cameras
A demo can run on your cameras or on a Sentra demo site, self hosted or hosted by Sentra. Tell us which events and figures you need, and we prepare it.
